One library, two DFW locations — start with the breed you love and meet the puppy in person.
Every dog you’ve ever loved started as a breed first — a shape, a coat, a way of being in a room. This is the library where that choice begins, and it’s the same library whether you walk into our North Dallas location or the Fort Worth-area shop in Mansfield.
Start With the Breed You Love
We keep a wide selection of breeds on hand across both DFW locations, and we organize them the way families actually decide: by the life the puppy is going to live in, not by a catalog number. Some shoppers arrive already set on a Goldendoodle. Others know they want something small and low-shedding but couldn’t name the breed if you asked. Both are good places to start.
The two broad branches below — designer hybrids and purebreds — are just the front door. Once you’re inside, the real sorting happens by size, coat, and temperament, and that’s where a few minutes with one of our puppy counselors saves a lot of guessing.
The Doodles and Hybrids
Crossbred puppies have earned their reputation in the metroplex honestly. Pairing two well-matched parent breeds tends to bring forward the easygoing, people-first traits families ask for, and many of these crosses carry the low-shedding coats that make a Texas summer easier on allergy-prone households.
A few of the hybrids we see most often:
- Goldendoodle and Mini Goldendoodle — quick to learn, eager to please, coats that range from wavy to curly
- Cavapoo — soft-natured and steady, comfortable with kids and quieter homes alike
- Maltipoo — small, bright, and one of the most-requested little dogs across DFW
- Bernedoodle — devoted and clever, often with the striking tri-color look of its Bernese side
If non-shedding is your priority, our hypoallergenic collection gathers these Poodle crosses alongside breeds like the Bichon Frise and Havanese. No coat is truly allergen-free, but these are the ones allergy-sensitive families tend to live with most comfortably.
The Purebreds
There’s a clarity to a purebred — you know roughly the size, the energy, and the temperament you’re signing up for, because the breed has been the same for generations. Our purebred selection runs from compact companions to family workhorses.
- French Bulldog — small, mellow indoors, and at home in an apartment or a suburban den
- Golden Retriever — patient, social, and built for a busy household with kids
- Shih Tzu — adaptable, affectionate, and easy on the furniture when it comes to shedding
- Pomeranian — a big personality folded into a very small dog
Want the small end of the lineup in one place? The toy and teacup collection pulls the littlest companions — including teacup Yorkies, Maltese and Poms — into a single browse.
Narrowing It Down
Picking a breed is mostly a matter of being honest about your week. A handful of questions tend to settle it faster than scrolling does:
| Your situation |
Worth a look |
| Apartment or smaller yard |
Maltipoo, French Bulldog, Shih Tzu, the toy-and-teacup group |
| Active family, room to roam |
Goldendoodle, Golden Retriever, Bernedoodle |
| Allergies in the house |
Cavapoo, Bichon Frise, Havanese, the hypoallergenic group |
| First dog, want easy |
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Golden Retriever |
None of this replaces meeting a puppy. A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel will follow you from room to room — that’s the breed, not a phase — and you only really feel that in person. Tell us how your days run and we’ll point you at two or three breeds that fit, then let the puppy make its own case.
One Inventory, Both Locations
What’s available changes daily, and it’s shared across both DFW locations — so a puppy you spot online might be waiting at the North Dallas location on Inwood Road or at the Fort Worth-area location in Mansfield. Whichever is closer, you can browse the current puppies for sale first and we’ll tell you which location to come to.
Every puppy is examined by a licensed Texas veterinarian before it meets families, and under Texas law none come home before eight weeks, when they’re actually ready. Our breeders are a trusted network of carefully selected, licensed breeders — ask us anything about where a puppy came from, because a clear answer is the whole point. For families spreading the cost, in-person payment plans through TerraceFinance are worth a conversation, and an optional 15-Year Limited Health Warranty can be added in person to back the years ahead.
Breed Questions, Answered
What breeds can I see in DFW?
A broad mix of designer hybrids and purebreds, split across the two locations. Inventory shifts as new puppies arrive, so check the available puppies page or call (972) 674-1963 for what’s on the floor today.
Which breeds are the lowest-shedding?
Poodle crosses such as the Goldendoodle, Cavapoo and Maltipoo, along with breeds like the Bichon Frise and Havanese, are the ones allergy-sensitive families do best with. They’re collected on our hypoallergenic page. No breed is fully allergen-free.
Do you carry teacup and toy sizes?
Yes. The smallest companions — teacup Yorkies, Maltese, Poms and similar — live in the toy and teacup collection. Sizes vary by litter, and our counselors can tell you a puppy’s expected adult range.
Can I see a puppy before I decide anything?
Always. Both locations are open seven days a week, no appointment needed. Take your time in the play areas and bring the whole family.
How do I know your puppies are well-sourced?
They come from hand-picked, licensed breeders we’ve built relationships with — never a mill. Each puppy is seen by a Texas veterinarian before meeting families, and we’ll walk you through any individual puppy’s background when you visit.
Come Meet Them in Person
Pick a breed from the full library, narrow it down with us, then come see for yourself — that’s the part that matters. Stop by either location across DFW, or reach out with a question and we’ll help you find where a good fifteen-year story starts.
