Every so often a particular litter lands at just the right moment — a planned breeding that timed out well, a puppy whose family fell through, a breed we have a little extra room for that week. When that happens, we mark it as a featured price. The puppy doesn’t change. Only the number does. What follows is how this list works, what stays exactly the same no matter the price, and where to look across our two DFW locations.
Where the Savings Actually Come From
A featured price is never a flag that something is wrong with a puppy. It’s a scheduling thing, plain and simple. A breeder we work with had a slightly larger litter than planned. A reservation didn’t go through. A breed that’s quiet in one season has good availability in another. We’d rather move a happy, well-started puppy into a real home at a fair number than let timing sit on it.
So the honest version is this: the dog is identical to one at full price. Same breeder, same wellness check, same days of handling before it ever meets a family. The only difference is the math worked out in your favor this week.
The Part That Never Goes on Sale
Price moves. Standards don’t. A puppy listed here has come from the same trusted network of carefully selected, licensed breeders, chosen for soundness and temperament — and it’s seen by a licensed Texas veterinarian before it’s ever shown to a family. Texas law means no puppy comes home before eight weeks, when it’s actually ready, and a featured-price puppy is no exception.
Every great dog starts somewhere good, and a discount doesn’t change where this one started. If you ever wonder about a particular pup’s background, ask us. A clear answer to that question is the whole point.
Which Breeds Tend to Show Up Here
The list turns over often, so treat the breeds below as the kinds of puppies that pass through rather than a fixed menu. The current lineup lives on the full puppy listings — that page is the one to check the day you’re ready to decide.
Doodles and Designer Crosses
DFW loves a doodle, and crosses are the most common faces on this list:
- Goldendoodles and Mini Goldendoodles — Golden Retriever warmth with Poodle smarts; an easy fit for a busy household.
- Cavapoos — small, gentle, and glued to whoever’s in the room with them.
- Bernedoodles — sturdy and devoted, with the Bernese steadiness families ask for.
- Sheepadoodles — calm, striking coats, and a patient streak that suits kids.
- Maltipoos — pocket-sized, affectionate, and light on shedding.
If a lower-shedding coat is part of why you’re looking, our hypoallergenic puppies page gathers more of these in one spot.
Small and Toy Companions
Apartments and townhomes across the Metroplex keep demand high for little dogs, and they move through the featured list regularly:
- Yorkshire Terriers — bright, portable, and a lot of dog in a small frame.
- Maltese — soft-coated lap dogs with a steady, sweet temperament.
- Shih Tzus — adaptable companions that genuinely thrive on company.
- Dachshunds — long on personality and loyalty in a compact build.
The full small-breed range sits under our toy and teacup puppies collection.
Purebred Classics
Not everything here is a hybrid. Time-tested breeds rotate through too:
Happy from the Start, Backed for the Long Run
Happy from the start isn’t a slogan here — it’s the sequence. Each puppy is examined by a Texas veterinarian and sent home with its first vaccinations on record. From there, the years ahead are yours to think about, and you don’t have to do it alone.
When you bring a puppy home, you can add the optional 15-Year Limited Health Warranty in-person. Think of it as something that stands behind the long story rather than a promise about any single outcome — coverage you choose to put in place for the fifteen years that follow, not a guarantee printed on a receipt. We’re glad to walk through exactly what it does and doesn’t cover before you decide.
Making the Number Work: TerraceFinance In-Location
A featured price already helps, and for many families that’s enough on its own. When it isn’t, we work with TerraceFinance in-person so the timing fits your life instead of the other way around. Approval runs through TerraceFinance, not through us, so we won’t pretend it’s automatic — but we’ll sit down, walk through what’s involved, and answer plainly. The longer version of how this works lives on our puppy financing page.
Two Locations, One DFW Family
Featured prices show up at either location, and our inventory is combined — so it’s worth checking both before you settle.
- Our North Dallas location sits on Inwood Rd just off I-635 (LBJ), closest for families coming from Plano, Frisco, Richardson, and the northern suburbs.
- Our Fort Worth-area location is on FM157 in Mansfield, the easier drive from Arlington, Grand Prairie, Burleson, and the west side.
Both keep the same hours — seven days a week — and a quick call to (972) 674-1963 is the fastest way to confirm whether a featured pup you spotted is still waiting and which location it’s at.
A Few Honest Answers
Why is this puppy priced lower than a similar one?
Timing, not quality. A larger-than-planned litter, a reservation that fell through, or strong seasonal availability lets us offer a fair number on a puppy that is otherwise identical in care, breeder, and vet check to any other on our floor. We never reduce a price because of a health concern.
Does the lower price mean fewer health checks?
No. A featured-price puppy gets the same wellness exam by a licensed Texas veterinarian, the same first vaccinations, and the same days of gentle handling before meeting families. The optional 15-Year Limited Health Warranty is available on these puppies in-person, the same as any other.
Can I finance a featured-price puppy?
Yes. TerraceFinance is available in-person on these puppies just as it is on the rest. Approval and terms are set by TerraceFinance, so bring a valid ID and we’ll walk through the application together — start on the financing page if you’d like the details first.
How often does the list change?
It moves with the litters, so there’s no set schedule — some weeks it’s quiet, others it turns over quickly. The reliable way to see what’s featured right now is the live puppy listings, or a call to either location.
Can I see one in person before I decide?
That’s the part that matters most. Come meet the puppy, take your time, and ask us anything. There’s no countdown and no pressure to decide on the spot — bring the whole family and see whether it clicks. Reach out through our contact page and we’ll tell you which location has the pup you’re after.
Come Meet Them in Person
A good price is a nice reason to look. The dog is the reason to come. Whether it’s a doodle off the featured list, a small companion for a downtown apartment, or a Frenchie you’ve been waiting on, the real decision happens in the room — watching how a puppy moves toward you, or doesn’t, and how your kids settle around it.
Stop by either Wellspring location, or call (972) 674-1963 and we’ll help you figure out which location is the shorter drive and what’s available right now. This is where puppy love begins — come start it in person.
