A puppy’s first week with us is a quiet one. They sleep a lot, find their footing on the floor, and start to trust the people who feed them. The puppies on this page are at the very beginning of that — the newest arrivals across both Wellspring locations, the ones just settling in. This is where their story with a family like yours could start.
What “New Arrival” Actually Means Here
A new arrival is a puppy that has recently come to one of our two DFW locations and is finding its footing — eating well, sleeping on a schedule, getting comfortable being held. We don’t put a puppy on the floor the day it arrives. There’s a settling-in stretch first, and a wellness check before anyone meets them.
Because litters come in on their own timing, this group changes week to week. A pair of doodles one Saturday, a single Frenchie the next. There’s no shipment day and no countdown — just puppies arriving as they’re old enough and ready, which under Texas law is never before eight weeks.
Where These Puppies Come From
Every great dog starts somewhere good, and the puppies you’ll meet here come from a trusted network of carefully selected, licensed breeders, chosen for soundness and temperament. They’re USDA-licensed, they raise puppies in homes rather than runs, and they handle and socialize them early, before the puppies ever travel to Dallas or Mansfield.
That’s the part we’d rather you ask about than take on faith. Where did this puppy come from? Who raised it? Ask us anything — a clear answer is the whole point. No mills, ever, isn’t a slogan on the wall; it’s the reason we can answer those questions plainly.
Happy from the Start
Before a new arrival meets a single family, it’s examined by a licensed Texas veterinarian. You’ll get the records that go with that — the exam, first vaccinations, and deworming — so you know exactly where your puppy stands the day you take it home.
The eight-week floor matters here too. Texas law keeps puppies with their litter until they’re old enough to come home, and that timing isn’t a formality — those early weeks shape how a dog settles, learns, and bonds for the rest of its life. By the time a new arrival is on our floor, it’s reached the window when leaving the litter and joining a family does the most good.
Breeds That Tend to Land First
DFW families lean toward dogs that fit Texas summers, suburban yards, and apartments off the tollway alike, so certain breeds move through our new arrivals more than others. A current snapshot:
- Goldendoodles and Mini Goldendoodles — easygoing, low-shedding, and forgiving of a busy house. A favorite up the northern arc from Plano to Frisco. See the Goldendoodle puppies we have now.
- French Bulldogs — compact, low-mileage, and content in a smaller home; a natural for Arlington and Mansfield apartment living. Browse French Bulldog litters.
- Cavapoos — a lap-sized blend of the Cavalier’s affection and the Poodle’s coat, well-suited to first-time owners. Meet the Cavapoos in person.
- Bernedoodles — bigger, gentle, and striking, with the patience families ask for. Look over the Bernedoodle puppies.
This is a sampling, not the whole list — availability changes daily across both locations. The honest way to see what’s actually on the floor is the full puppy listing or a quick call.
One Search, Both DFW Locations
One trusted breeder network, two DFW locations. The puppies here are drawn from both locations — our North Dallas location at 14233 Inwood Rd, just off I-635 (LBJ), and our Fort Worth-area location in Mansfield at 2840 FM157 #120. A new arrival listed today might be settling in at either one.
If you’re coming from the Dallas side, the North Dallas location is your nearest. From Fort Worth, Arlington, or the mid-cities, start with the Mansfield location. Both keep the same hours: see our store pages Call ahead at (972) 674-1963 and we’ll tell you which location a puppy is at before you make the drive.
The Years Ahead
A new arrival is the first chapter of a fifteen-year story, and a couple of things help that story run smooth. In-person, we work with TerraceFinance for payment plans, so the timing of bringing a puppy home can fit your life — approval is through TerraceFinance, not guaranteed, and we’ll walk through it with you. You can read the plain version on the financing page.
There’s also an optional 15-Year Limited Health Warranty you can add in person. Think of it as backing the long road rather than a promise about any one day — coverage that stands behind the years after pickup. Neither is required. Both are there if they help.
Come Meet Them in Person
You can read about a puppy, but you can’t tell from a screen which one leans into your hand. That’s the part that matters, and it’s why we keep the door open: bring the whole family, take your time, and let a puppy tell you something a listing never could.
Tell us what you’re after — a low-shedding coat, a quiet apartment dog, something good with kids — and we’ll point you toward the new arrivals that fit. Reach the team through our contact page, or browse the full breed directory to narrow things down before you visit.
Questions About New Arrivals
How often do new puppies arrive?
There’s no set schedule. Litters come in as they’re ready — sometimes a few in a week, sometimes a quiet stretch — and they only reach the floor after a settling-in period and a vet’s wellness check. Because of that, the new arrivals change often. Calling (972) 674-1963 or visiting is the surest way to know what’s in person today.
Can I find out which location a new arrival is at?
Yes — and it’s worth asking before you drive. The puppies here are split across our North Dallas (Inwood Rd) and Fort Worth-area (Mansfield, FM157) locations. Tell us the puppy or breed you’re interested in and we’ll confirm which location it’s settling in at.
What comes home with a new arrival?
Each puppy goes home with the records from its veterinary exam, plus its first vaccinations and deworming documentation. The optional 15-Year Limited Health Warranty can be added in person. We’ll also send you off with straightforward guidance on the first week and on lining up your own DFW-area vet.
How young are the puppies on this page?
None come home before eight weeks — that’s Texas law, and it lines up with the age when a puppy is genuinely ready to leave its litter. New arrivals are typically right around that window, which is also when early socialization with a new family does the most lasting good.
Can you tell me when a puppy I’d like comes in?
We can keep you in the loop. We don’t hold or reserve ahead of time, but if you let us know what you’re hoping for, we’ll reach out as matching new arrivals land. A short conversation up front tends to save families a lot of back-and-forth — just send us a note.
