Irving has a way of feeling like its own small world inside the metroplex — the canals winding through Las Colinas, the green pathways of Valley Ranch, the quiet stretch of Campion Trail along the Elm Fork. It’s a good place to start a story. This page brings together every puppy currently with Wellspring Puppies, so an Irving family can see the whole picture in one look.
A Puppy’s First Chapter in Irving
Plenty of homes here are already built for a dog. Valley Ranch was master-planned around walk paths and shaded canals; Las Colinas added Paws Colinas, a seven-acre dog park off California Crossing Road where the small-dog and large-dog runs sit right on the Campion Trail. A new puppy doesn’t need any of that on day one — those first weeks are mostly naps, house-training, and learning your floors — but it helps to know there’s somewhere to grow into once they’ve found their footing.
What we sell is the beginning of that. Where puppy love begins, and the fifteen years that follow. A puppy raised right, then ready for you — old enough to come home because Texas law sets eight weeks as the floor, and happy from the start because each one is examined by a licensed Texas veterinarian before any family meets them.
One Search, Both DFW Locations
The litters shown here aren’t from a single shop. Wellspring keeps two locations across Dallas–Fort Worth, and this page pulls their inventory together so you don’t have to check two places or guess which has what.
Availability moves daily as puppies go home, so the honest answer to “is this one still here?” is always a quick call to (972) 674-1963. One trusted breeder network, two DFW locations — and one combined list of every puppy ready right now.
The Location Closest to Irving
For most of Irving, the nearer of the two is our North Dallas location on Inwood Rd. From Las Colinas or Valley Ranch the drive is short and familiar — east on I-635 toward the LBJ corridor, then off at Inwood. Figure roughly ten miles and somewhere around fifteen to twenty minutes outside of rush hour; from the south side of Irving you’ll add a little. It’s the kind of trip you can fold into a regular errand run.
Our Mansfield location sits on the southwest side of the metroplex and is the better fit if you’re already heading toward Arlington or down US-287. Because the inventory is shared, the smartest move is to find the puppy first on this page, then drive to whichever location that particular puppy is waiting at. Call ahead and we’ll confirm the location before you leave Irving.
Breeds Irving Homes Tend to Choose
We don’t stock to a formula, but a few patterns hold across North Texas — and Irving’s mix of canal-side townhomes, apartments, and single-family streets leans toward dogs that adapt to space rather than demand acres of it.
- Goldendoodles — friendly, biddable, and a low-to-moderate shedder; the metroplex’s perennial favorite for households with kids.
- French Bulldogs — compact, easygoing, and genuinely content in a Las Colinas high-rise or a Valley Ranch townhome.
- Cavalier King Charles Spaniels — a follow-you-room-to-room companion breed that does well with gentle children and other pets.
- Maltipoos — small, affectionate, and an easy size for an apartment, with minimal shedding.
If you’re still narrowing it down, the full breed guide walks through size, coat, and temperament so the choice fits your home and not just the photo. Honest note: a puppy is real work — early mornings, chewed shoes, a few accidents on the way to house-trained. We’d rather you know that going in.
Hours, and Planning the Trip From Irving
Both locations keep the same schedule, which makes a visit easy to time around an Irving workday:
Bring the whole family and take your time — meeting a puppy in person is the part that matters, and there’s no clock running on the floor. If a payment plan would help with timing, we work with TerraceFinance in-person; the details live on our financing page, and approval runs through TerraceFinance rather than being guaranteed up front. Many families also add the optional 15-Year Limited Health Warranty in person, a way to stand behind the long stretch ahead. Come meet them when it’s right for you — call (972) 674-1963 or send us a message first and we’ll have the right location ready.
Irving Puppy Questions, Answered
Which Wellspring location is closest to Irving?
For most of Irving, the North Dallas location at 14233 Inwood Rd (75244) is nearest — a short run east on I-635 from Las Colinas or Valley Ranch, around ten miles. Our Mansfield location at 2840 FM157 #120 is the easier choice if you’re already on the southwest side toward Arlington. Either way, the puppies here are from both.
Why does this page show puppies from two different locations?
Because Wellspring runs two DFW locations and shares inventory across them. Showing the combined lineup means you see every available puppy in one place instead of checking two locations. Once you’ve found one you’d like to meet, we’ll tell you which location it’s at so you drive to the right one.
Are the puppies seen by a veterinarian before they’re available?
Yes. Every puppy is examined by a licensed Texas veterinarian before any family meets it, and under Texas law none come home before eight weeks, when they’re actually ready. Our puppies come from a trusted network of carefully selected, licensed breeders — ask us anything about where one came from; a clear answer is the whole point.
Can an Irving family finance a puppy?
Yes — we offer in-person payment plans through TerraceFinance, so the timing can fit your life. Start on the financing page or ask the team during your visit; final approval is handled by TerraceFinance.
How current is the availability shown here?
It updates as puppies find homes, which happens daily. For a same-day confirmation that a particular puppy is still with us, call (972) 674-1963 before making the drive from Irving.
