I had such a great experience here! The staff was friendly, patient, and answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed. The store was clean, the puppies looked well cared for, and you could tell they genuinely care about the animals. They took the time to explain everything I needed to know and made the whole process easy.

Plano runs on good mornings — a walk through Arbor Hills before the heat sets in, the Tollway already humming, a neighborhood that planned its parks as carefully as its corporate campuses. A puppy fits right into that rhythm. If you’ve been searching for puppies for sale in Plano, TX, here’s the short version: the litter below is the live, combined inventory from both Wellspring Puppies locations, and the nearer one is a quick run south.

A Puppy’s First Chapter in Plano

This is a city built for the long story. Families settle into Willow Bend or Deerfield, plant a tree in the backyard, and stay — and a dog grows up alongside the kids who name it. That’s the part we think about most: not the day you bring a puppy home, but the fifteen years after.

Plano’s draw for a new dog is the everyday infrastructure. Arbor Hills Nature Preserve keeps two hundred acres of trail and open meadow on the city’s west side, leashed and shaded — the kind of place a young dog learns to walk politely beside you. Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve adds miles more, and Windhaven Meadows has a fenced run split for big dogs and small ones when your pup is ready to go off-leash. Whether you’re near Legacy West’s high-rises or a quieter cul-de-sac in Ridgeview Ranch, there’s a green place within a few minutes to wear a puppy out before bed.

We won’t pretend a puppy is all morning walks. There’s house-training, the chewed shoe, the 6 a.m. whimper. We’d rather you know that going in — it’s what makes the good years believable.

One Search, Both DFW Locations

Everything on this page is real, current stock pooled from our two locations, so you only look once.

Your closest is the Dallas location at 14233 Inwood Rd, Dallas, TX 75244 — North Dallas, just off I-635/LBJ. For most of Plano it’s the natural first stop. We also run a second location, the Fort Worth-area location at 2840 FM157 #120, Mansfield, TX 76063, on the southwest side of the metroplex. One trusted breeder network, two DFW locations — and one shared inventory, so a puppy listed here may be waiting at either address.

Because litters move, the smartest move before you drive is a quick call to (972) 674-1963. We’ll tell you exactly which puppies are at Inwood Rd today and which are down in Mansfield, and hold a meeting time so you’re not guessing at the door.

The Drive From Plano

The Dallas location is genuinely close. From most of Plano it’s roughly 19 miles — call it 25 to 30 minutes in ordinary traffic — and the route is about as simple as DFW gets: the Dallas North Tollway straight south, then west toward the I-635 (LBJ) corridor where Inwood Rd sits. If you’re coming off the east side of the city, the President George Bush Turnpike to the Tollway works just as cleanly. Either way you’re staying on roads you already know.

The Mansfield location is the longer haul — south and west across the metroplex, comfortably under an hour from Plano. Most Plano families start at Inwood Rd, but if a puppy you love happens to be at the Fort Worth-area location, the inventory here tells you before you go.

Breeds Plano Families Tend to Choose

North Dallas leans toward dogs that suit busy households and a mix of home styles — a Legacy West apartment, a Whiffletree two-story, a yard out past SH 121. A few that consistently land well here:

That’s a snapshot, not the whole shelf — availability changes daily. Start at the full puppy listing to see what’s actually here this week, or read up first in our breed library so you walk in knowing what a given temperament asks of you. Every Wellspring puppy comes from a trusted network of carefully selected, licensed breeders, is seen by a licensed Texas veterinarian before meeting families, and — by Texas law — never comes home before eight weeks, when they’re actually ready.

Plan the Trip From Plano

Both locations keep the same hours: see our store pages Bring the whole family and take your time — meeting a puppy in person is the part that matters, and there’s no clock on it.

If the math on bringing one home needs a little room, that’s an in-person conversation, not a hurdle. We work with TerraceFinance at the counter to spread the cost so the timing fits your life; approval runs through TerraceFinance, and our team will walk through it with you. You can also add an optional 15-Year Limited Health Warranty in-person — coverage that stands behind the long story, not a promise about any one day. The details live on our financing page when you want to read ahead.

Plano Puppy Questions, Answered

Which location is closest to Plano?

The Dallas location at 14233 Inwood Rd (North Dallas, off I-635/LBJ) is your nearest — about 19 miles, a 25–30 minute drive down the Dallas North Tollway. Our second location, the Fort Worth-area location in Mansfield, is farther but shares this same inventory. Call (972) 674-1963 and we’ll point you to whichever location has the puppy you’re after.

Do the puppies on this page come from one location or both?

Both. This listing is the combined live inventory from the Dallas and Fort Worth-area locations, so you search once. Because puppies are at one physical address or the other, a quick call before you leave Plano confirms where to meet the one you like.

How long does it take to get there from Plano?

The Inwood Rd location is roughly 25–30 minutes from most of Plano via the Dallas North Tollway south, then over to the I-635 corridor. From the east side, the PGBT to the Tollway is just as easy. The Mansfield location is a longer drive, comfortably under an hour.

What should I bring if I want to finance a puppy?

Financing happens in-person through TerraceFinance, so bring a valid ID and come ready to talk numbers with our team — approval is handled by TerraceFinance, not guaranteed in advance. The financing page covers the basics, and you can also ask us anything when you arrive.

Are the puppies checked by a vet?

Yes — every puppy is examined by a licensed Texas veterinarian before it ever meets a family, and none leave before eight weeks under Texas law. We’re glad to answer where any puppy came from; a clear answer is the whole point.

Come Meet Them

Whether you’re off the Tollway in central Plano or out near the Legacy corridor, the Dallas location is a short, familiar drive — and the puppy you’ve had your eye on may already be waiting there. See what’s here right now on the puppies for sale page, then call (972) 674-1963 or send us a note and we’ll have a time set aside for your family.
